That’s the part we love. Après doesn’t need a dress code, a reservation, or even a ski day. It just needs a little space between doing the thing and rushing to the next thing.

Make a little room for it.

After a hike, find a place to sit with the view. After the last run, meet the friend who took the other lift. After a slow morning outside, let coffee stretch into a conversation. The point isn’t to fit more into the day. It’s to notice what’s already there.

The best après ingredient is the person in the next chair.

A cocktail can be lovely. So can a hot chocolate, something sparkling, or a mug you’re warming your hands around. The ritual matters more than what’s in the glass. Good company does the heavy lifting.

Dress for staying awhile.

Bring the comfortable layer. Wear the piece that makes you smile. Leave the performance review back at work. Out here, a day doesn’t need to be impressive to be worth celebrating.
